◆Terms of Service◆
Last updated: July 12, 2026 Alpha terms
The short version
Yugara is in early alpha. Play fair, be decent to other players, and expect things to break or change while we build. Your account and progress are yours to enjoy, but the game and its content stay ours. We collect only what the game needs to run, and we do not sell your data.
The full terms below say the same thing in more detail. By creating a character or playing Yugara you agree to them.
1.What these terms are
These terms are the agreement between you and the Yugara team (referred to as "we" or "us") for playing Yugara, the browser game available at yugara.gg and its related servers. By creating an account, creating a character, or playing, you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not play.
These are plain-language alpha terms. A formal version will replace them before full launch, and we will announce that change in game and on the site.
2.Who can play
- You must be at least 13 years old, or older if the law where you live requires a higher age for online services.
- If you are a minor, a parent or guardian should be fine with you playing.
- You may not play if the law of your country forbids you from using services like this.
3.Your account
- Your account stores your character, progress, gear, and gold so you can return where you left off.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
- Your password is stored hashed. We can never read it, and we will never ask you for it.
- One account is for one person. Do not sell, trade, or share accounts.
- You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time. See the Privacy section below.
4.Rules of conduct
Yugara is a shared world. A few things get you suspended or banned:
- Cheating: exploits, bug abuse, modified clients, packet forging, or anything that gives you an unfair edge.
- Automation: bots, macros, or scripts that play for you.
- Harassment: hate speech, threats, stalking, or targeted abuse of other players.
- Impersonation: pretending to be another player, a moderator, or the Yugara team.
- Disruption: attacking the servers, spamming, or deliberately breaking the game for others.
If you find a bug or an exploit, report it to us instead of using it. We are grateful for reports and we remember the people who send them.
5.Chat, names, and player content
- Character names, guild names, and chat messages must follow the conduct rules above.
- We may moderate, filter, or remove names and messages that break the rules, and we may keep short-term chat logs for moderation.
- Anything you type in a public channel can be seen by other players. Do not share personal information in chat.
6.AI-generated content
Parts of Yugara are generated by AI systems: forged gear, item art and lore, and the dialogue of some characters in the world.
- AI characters are game fiction. Nothing they say is advice, a promise, or an official statement from us.
- We filter AI output, but generated text can still be odd or wrong. If something crosses a line, report it and we will fix the source.
- Gear forged for you is part of your account like any other item. The generation systems behind it remain ours.
7.Purchases and virtual items
- Purchases during alpha support development. We sell cosmetics and convenience, never power.
- Gold, gear, and other in-game items are game data. They have no money value and cannot be cashed out, except for items we may later offer explicitly as onchain assets, which will come with their own terms.
- Prices, features, and availability may change before launch.
- Refunds are handled case by case where the law does not already require one. Write to us and we will be reasonable.
- Buying, selling, or trading accounts or items for real money outside the game is not allowed.
8.Ownership and license
- The game, its code, art, music, world, and characters belong to the Yugara team or are used under license.
- We give you a personal, non-exclusive license to play Yugara for as long as these terms are respected.
- You may stream, record, and share your gameplay freely. We are glad when you do.
9.Alpha status, updates, and resets
- Yugara is early alpha software, offered as is. Things will break, change, and sometimes disappear.
- We may update, rebalance, or rework any part of the game at any time.
- We try hard to preserve progress, but test data may be wiped during alpha. Big wipes will be announced ahead of time when we can.
- Servers may go down for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control.
10.Suspension and termination
- We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. For serious or repeated offenses this can be permanent and without warning.
- You may stop playing and ask us to delete your account whenever you like.
- If we ever shut the game down for good, we will say so on the site with as much notice as we can give.
11.Disclaimers and liability
Plain words: Yugara is a free alpha game made by a small team. We provide it without warranties of any kind, and we cannot promise it will always work, be available, or keep your progress intact. To the fullest extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect damages such as lost profits or lost data. Nothing in these terms removes rights that the law of your country grants you and does not let us take away.
12.Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the game grows. When we make a meaningful change we will update the date at the top and note it in game or on the site. Playing after a change means you accept the updated terms.
13.Contact
Questions about these terms: reach us through the community links on the main page at yugara.gg. Dedicated support channels are coming online as the alpha grows.
◆Privacy Policy◆
We keep this simple and collect only what the game needs to work.
What we store
- Your account: character name, a hashed password, an optional email address, your position, experience, gear, gold, quests, and guild membership, so you can log back in where you left off.
- Your browser keeps small local settings, like whether you have seen the tutorial. No third-party advertising cookies.
- Standard server logs (connection times, errors) kept briefly for keeping the game running and fighting abuse.
- Short-term chat logs used only for moderation.
AI features and your messages
When you talk to an AI-driven character, such as a trader you haggle with or the priest in the chapel, the text you type in that conversation is sent to an AI provider to generate the reply. These messages are used to run the feature, not to build a profile of you. Do not put personal information into conversations with characters.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not run third-party advertising trackers.
- We do not ask for more personal information than the game needs.
Your choices
- You can play without an email address. It is optional and only used for account recovery.
- You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time through the community links on the main page, and we will do it within a reasonable time.
